Moth to flame
Again, I’m drawn
Weakened, awakened
From dusk to dawn
Powerful lust
Overrides reason
Love & trust
Tantamount to treason
Dark eyes & hair
Devilish smile
Enigmatic riddle
Unearthly guile
White-hot touch
Brand & chain
Word weaved perfection
that drive one insane
Left you once
Hid my secrets away
Inside of myself
To never see day
But you have
Returned
& I burn with
New need
Is it the day
That I die,
That from you
I am free?

Tiersdin,
Amazing how one person can be so intrigued by another
that no matter how many times try, we always go back.
Excellent job!

Keith: Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.  I've read some of your poems... you should post more! *smiles*

Irie: so true, in many cases! This particular work is really fiction, in a sense. I drew on past experiences to come up with it.  Thank you for commenting!

*smiles*
