When Love Comes Calling

She sits among the trees
feeling the caressing breeze
as it sings through the leaves

Closing her eyes to vision
she can almost hear the voice
of love When Love Comes Calling

She sits and waits
with her back against a tree
the smell pine freshness in her senses

A dream takes form as she listens
to the echoes of the mountains
and what their saying When Love Comes Calling

She sits in quiet serenity
feeling joyful the song of birds
as they call to one another

Sighing, she wonders will he tell
of his love for her to the birds
and all the earth to hear When Love Comes Calling

She sits soaking up the sun
in this peaceful mountain glade
of majestic Rocky Mountain heights

Watching clouds floating over head
and dreams of a magical steed
bringing him When Love Comes Calling

She sits soothed in heart and soul
by bubbling brook still cold
from melting icy mountain flow

Seeing fish in crystal waters clear
and asking of the Higher Power
will she know When Love Comes Calling

She sits becoming one with mother earth
as she feels the beating of her heart
through gentle hands filled with love for the land

And asks will he hear the cry
of earth, air and sky as the spirits
lead him to this woman When Love Comes Calling

She sits surrounded by the beauty
of the earth as rest upon the ground
feeding her spirit giving strength

Waiting for him to make his move
showing love through words and actions
as he reaches out to her When Love Comes Calling
