My World Karen Torbiak 2000 Understanding brings shearing, white, hot pain burning into your very soul The earth screams out her anguish and you open your eyes to see the blood red tears of broken hearts Bullets tearing through the young firm flesh of men as they sacrifice their lives and never know why An innocent baby’s scream as it is torn from it’s mother in a land where life has become worthless Starving young bodies looking at us from a tv screen while we quickly change the channel of our guilty conscience Belief in love of any kind becomes a perversion developed that we may loose our souls to selfish pleasure All this and more my eyes do see in reality then I weave my vision of fantasy where love is still precious to be desired above all and to leave a little love for all to share in MY WORLD Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com |

Karen, I understand this feeling. 'An innocent baby’s scream as it is torn from it’s mother in a land where life has become worthless' there seem to be many many lands where life is like this... sigh Good write!  K |

Karen there is so much wisdom in the reality of your words in this piece...I really appreciate your thoughts on fantasy they are well delivered and the meaning stands out!! Thank you so much everyone. I know I weave so much fantasy but with all the pain and hurt in the world I think we need a little fantasy in our lives. I am so glad you liked the message of this poem.
