a city girl, clubs, shopping, friends ever near... spends money like water, ready to go anytime, anywhere... her mother pulls out her hair. a country girl, a hen house, rabbits, two dogs, a log house in the woods, off a winding dirt road, friends can't believe it is so she's found herself, who she really is inside, grown up, settled down, feeds the chickens, tends the rabbits, rides a four-wheeler for miles, and now her mother smiles. she still spends money like water, though, she just goes online... mom can hear the rush from five-hundred miles away... but she still smiles. The city girl turned into the country girl and made you smile. She just wanted you to stop going bald. Surely you didn't expect her to give up the credit cards too!!! Kids aren't happy unless they can keep their parents worrying. |

Unconditional love is a wounderful thing and our elders push us through our youth in there own image to make us what they consider the best we can be . Loved the poem, realy good point, and fun to . Thanx a lot . L.of.L. Tom . Don't try, do or do not, there is no try . - Master Yoda - |

LR, A lot of guys probably think the same thing!!! inot2B, You are so right...until they reach that age where they look at you and say, "Mom...you WERE right. I wish I would've listened to you." Sven, Thank you, kind sir, for the wonderful compliment. It was my pleasure if I made you smile. Tom, Thanx to you for reading and for your sooo nice comments. Glad you enjoyed. All good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings...~William Wordsworth |
