Lost within tears,
Roaming around,
Looking for how to tell you,
I didn't mean to scream,
But you often provoke it,
Although I should,
Be stronger against it.
You never truly understand,
You only listen,
Long enough to make me quiet.
For once,
Why can't you open your ears,
And remember my words.
Would you forget them so easily,
If I weren't here?
Is that what it takes?
Giving up on us,
Tempts me dangerously,
From time to time,
When I'm talking,
But you don't hear my voice.
What is it going to take,
To finally make you remember?
What is it going to take,
To make you realize,
That placing or denouncing blame,
Is the least of your worries.
Sometimes I picture myself gone,
And I'm more saddened by the contemplation,
Than perhaps I would be,
By actually being gone.

What you've said here has some seriously underlying issues that seem to be buried... albeit not so deeply... Making a relationship work isn't always easy, my friend... Nice writing here..
