What I am thinking...

"What are you thinking about?" you ask me -
"I love you!" is my answer honestly -
I can never seem to find the words to say
What I think about when I am so close to you
Some of my thoughts and feelings, I will try to convey

I love...
To look into your deep blue eyes
To see the way you look at me
To feel the warmth of your gaze
I feel the love you are feeling for me

I love...
To hear your soft, caring voice
"I love you very much", you say -
If you only knew that those words
Are what get me through the day

I love...
To feel the light caress of your hands
To feel your breath upon my skin
The way you hold me oh so close
To feel your heartbeat from within

I love...
To feel the warmth of your skin
To run my fingers through your hair
To lightly caress you, just the way you like
To show you just how much I care

I love...
The way you make me feel
When my heart beats ever so fast
That passionate kiss that takes my breath away
Knowing our love is destined to last

I love...
To be near you
And knowing that you will be there
Being with you is all I need
Please stay with me - Answer my prayer

So ask me what I am thinking
When I answer with those three precious words
Know that I am being honest
And that I just can't find the words
I love this and so much more
But most of all I know that I Love You!!!
And I know that I will, Always & Forever!!!

What a beautiful poem! I don't think i've ever seen i love you said quite so eloquently. wonderful job.

Thank you all so much for your comments! I have just recently felt the need to write down feelings and in turn I have started writing poetry. Thank you again!!!
