Upon love’s floor I’ve been spun
Beneath it’s touch I’ve come undone
By it’s pen I’ve been sketched
Upon it’s crystal I’ve been etched

In love’s sea I’ve cast my fears
Within it’s rays I’ve dried my tears
By it’s daystar I’ve been led
Upon it’s down I’ve laid my head

Under love’s wing I’ve been secure
To it’s magic I’ve held dear
By it’s hands I’ve been created
Abreast it’s lullaby I’ve been sedated

By virtue of love’s grace I will live
Reaching to it’s soul I will give
Upon it’s wing I will fly
With it’s breath I will sigh

Affixed to love’s feet I will walk
With it’s tongue I will talk
Supported by it’s rules I will abide
Through it’s valleys I will glide

Throughout it’s song I will dance
Within it’s vision I will glance
Clinging to my hands it will not stay
For it's not mine....till I give it away

Oh Butterfly, this is sooooo beautiful...
My goodness, I have no words to say...
Your poetry just seems to makes me smile so bright as I read the love you express in these treasured words of rhyme...

BDC,

Beautiful writing my dear friend.  Love truly is not love until we give it away.  Then it is a priceless treasure to be shared with those who mean the most to us.  May you give and receive in abundance.

I think you have probably become one of the loveliest butterflies I have ever laid eyes on, and this poem shows it...

and now I think I have run out of words...everything about it is...perfect to me...

so it must go in my library...

Butterflies, you know that I'm a great appreciator of poetry well written and I must say that the couplets you used and the rhyming words you chose (sketched, etched, created, sedated) show great imagination and talent. Combine this with excellent words and a killer of a last line and this is a poem I'm very happy to APPLAUD!!!!

So magical, love is that way, and when you decide to love it should be given as a gift, beautiful poem.

ButterfliesDC~
Just stunning in the softest kinda way.
The rhyme scheme is right on !

And this fact is so true -
'For it's not mine....till I give it away'

How very lovely is this one.

Well if Marge is the queen of romance then you are the princess of wings ready to take flight at a moments notice and you have shown that you are more than capable of penning poetic perfection.  AND NO!!!!!! ... this is NOT a biased opinion.  This is simply the your best and you know that I have read them all and yes it is even replacing my favorite of yours to go at the top.  A rewrite that took time but every minute we had to wait for it was more than worth the investment you made into it.  I say that you need to submit this one to the main site.  NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  How is that for bossy?
