I'm blessed that you are there for me Your love is light that gets me through Because I know you care for me. For all of life you share for me In everything you say and do I'm blessed that you are there for me. These feelings are quite rare for me You open doors I never knew Because I know you care for me. Life's never been too fair for me Heartache and pain were nothing new... I'm blessed that you are there for me. No other thoughts compare for me Than feeling that your love is true Because I know you care for me. There will be no despair for me All problems disappear from view. I'm blessed that you are there for me Because I know you care for me. |

Balladeer, Lovely villanelle, and sentiment...I know that villanelles are tough to write sometimes, but they're always such a pleasure to read, and you've done this excellently, with great flow and rhyme. This expresses the kinds of feelings that come around once in a lifetime. Blessings should always come from an open door, with no lock. It's a very special poem, and the style is wonderful. *sigh* Dear one, although I know not what a villanelle is this poem sang with wonderful feelings of soft caring. *sigh* It is beautiful, dear one, and I love it. Have often wondered why a villanelle, which sounds like a nasty little bugger, is usually so very beautiful in design... and you are very fortunate to be in your lady love's light, Deer...especially if she keeps you writing like this... good pic, too...
