If Only You Could See

In an upside-down garden

If you could just see beyond,
a simple human face.
If you could look beyond me,
you'd see all the grace.
The grace they say I have,
that I keep inside.
I guess I can't see it,
because it tries to hide.
I try to be perfect,
not for me, for you.
I try to do just everything,
but there's stuff that I can't do.
If only you could care,
for someone less then you.
If only you could see me,
you might be someone new.
If only there were some way,
to make you see the truth.
If there was just some way,
for you to see my youth.
If only you weren't,
so quick to judge,
you might see,
the truth behind the people,
the difference,
between you and me.
