On the Other Side

When the night showed off it’s splendor
T’was the hour of sweet surrender
You and I shared moments tender
On the side of love’s delight

When the sun was brightly shining
Past the line of earth’s dividing
We lay in the shadows hiding
Under little stars of night

Equisite hours til morning sun gleams
To erase the stars and moonbeams
Til that hour we lived in our dreams
In the darkness of the night

Stars of love exude elation
Stopping time and earth’s rotation
Giving lovers sweet sensation
Of a lifetime in one night

For every single night and day
For every moon that’s passed this way
The hour of life’s sweetest bouquet
Was under little stars at night

My fondest memory of worth
When sunlight dance in sprightly mirth
And lit the other side of earth
While we made love in dark of night

In horizon’s purple shading
Stars and moon on this side waiting
For the hour of sunlight’s fading
To create a lover’s night

Elizabeth, It would be difficult to choose which of your poems are my favorite!  Just when I think I have decided, you write another one that takes my breath away!
This is so lovely...

Oh, indeed!  You write like a sunny summer river flowing down a mountainside.  A marvelous stream of loveliness!  A wonderful talent.  And this is beautiful.
