The Promise still upright thy green bud's coverlet nigh this least split in fringe and deepest pink showing through this unbirth of thee, after first hoarfrost, thy last rose of summer, to stand, as if but yet a promise, before thy nearing of winter's cloak such is a promise ~ so I shall not mourn thee, stillborn beauty lest I dispel the chance of pact 'twixt you and I but with delicate patience await as, come spring, I shall glance at the show of peace in pinkest yellow which shall again with pomp evince hazel orbs that all promises shall come to those who wait. < !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?...KRJ [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 10-07-2000).] |
