Struck by Athena's arrow, an aspiring poet gleefully took his pen to hand, his emotions sparkling free on the paper, laid bare for all to see Yet his works were labelled as drivel his expressions despised as cliches his thoughts disregarded as juvenile He seeks neither praise nor admiration but just a willingness to peek into the complexities of his inner world His last resort to be heard failed, he bade farewell to his muse Sinking into obscurity, never to be heard again |

I can tell that you do not write about yourself. You will be around for a long long time. Very Good |

Nice one, I hope you talk not of yourself as you are a most talented poet . You have got your point across well, and I loved the way it flowed . L.of.L. Tom . Don't try, do or do not, there is no try . - Master Yoda - |

Never listen to the nay sayers or the big head critics. Most don't write poetry we can understand, they write cryptography and there's never an enigma machine around when you need to read it. Oh, by the way you write wonderful drivel. Parker |

K, my apologies for taking so long to get here ... thank you for letting me know my words inspired a poetic process ... and I must second and Ditto Parker' wise words ...(hes so smart) we may never become famous or be published.. but our words and poetry touch someone somewhere along the way ... and by that our poetry become engraved on their hearts ... thats good enough for me.... this work from you here is proof of the gift of poetry...we inspire each other ... no price or fame can add to that gift. very creative angle you'v presented here very nice job K, ya better be careful ... someone might think your a poet later-yournotdeadyet-gator LOL jm |

Uh-huh... been there! As a matter of fact, it hit me so hard that I wrote for years, allowing nobody to read my work. A few select friends read a few select poems, but that was all. Then, I realized that it was not as important to have my poetry read, as it was to have my poetry written. If others enjoy it, fine. If not, then that's fine too. Yours, by the way, was enjoyed by me. Good post, good poem! Trev. |

Kaile~ Poet or no poet this is very good but the sad part was this: His last resort to be heard failed, he bade farewell to his muse Sinking into obscurity, never to be heard again To me the greatest gift is poetry, words that we have expressed our feelings with ...well done Kaile Tracie~ Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |

Kaile, firstly a quote " regard all art critics as useless and dangerous." NOw Ditto what Jan said, no being lazy but she nailed what I wanted to say perfectly, though I would like to make a request that you write a poem called "growth of a great poet" because my friend that is what you are, our poetry will never stop improving refining growing. rememeber a bad poem is a souless poem if you don't believe in what you write then the poem no matter how well written will be a bad poem. So continue to dazzle and pen your beautiful poems. "an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women". That is so cruel! To be un-appreciated for the things he put so much effort into, the things that he was so proud of. That is INDEED cruel. _,,,^.^,,,_ |
