She drifts like the water In her old blue dress She ripples on the shores Of her own distress She feels with a thousand pounds of empathy She deals with much more than Simple sympathy Her eyes elegantly gaze across the room Soft whites and blues See more than you assume Her last escape from all All that those eyes see She doesn't touch the floor Away from pain and misery She sways just overhead Where the paint is peeling One last blue tear Floats down from the ceiling |
