I dug down in the chest of drawers- To get my entry fees- In that baking powder can- Beneath my BVD’s. I checked the oil, and filled the tank- Of my fifteen year old truck... You brought me my old thermos, And gave me a kiss for luck. I guess you’ve gotten used to... My goin’ down the road. You’ve smiled each time I took a first, And groaned when I got throwed. You’ve always been there for me- An anchor for my soul... No matter if I win or not... You’re gold, you’re solid gold! I tried my hand at ranchin’ We had a few bad years... It all dried up and blew away, And left us only tears. I keep on going down the road- Although I’m gettin’ old... You are the greatest prize I’ve won- You’re gold! You’re solid gold! "You come into this life crying, while the world rejoices. Your goal in life should be to live it in such a fashion, as to leave this world rejoicing, |

Awww how sweet Sometimes you have to let go and move on, But never let go of the memories. |
