left in the shadows of my old bed a million things racing through my head nothing ever living that I'd want to trust and nothing that ain't dying ever turned to dust forgotten secrets never understood smile at the face of the one you should its part of the grand design of things a hidden chapter of the caged bird sings nothing left to say but the barest of lies something to be broken on the barest of tries yet stay the hand as is reaches the end stop the mission before it should end keep the dream inside alivea moment more leave a light from the crack in the door blow out the torch before the bridges burn hold on and surrender as the time does turn brush aside your fearas though it killed you remember the things that you would never do and wash away the tears on your face as though they belong frozen in place [This message has been edited by desperado (edited 10-03-2000).] |
