These are fantastic! I love the simple yet complex form of these. Especially enjoyed the second one, and a tan is always great! |

"storms rise in day's heat thunder echoes in distance cloud bursts drench parched earth" "...children run barefoot" what a great collection! i'd say i'm going to miss summer, but i lived in Vegas and now i've moved to Phoenix, so the weather of summer is not as beautiful as you describe it. 'round her, it's rather routine (sun, heat, sun, heat). but these Haikus paint a delightful picture, and i'm very happy to see such an overwhelming number of responses to the challenge from just YOU!! outstanding work, as always JM. much love to ya! Everyone's got their demons. We all got somethin' to atone for. |

JM my friend....these are excellent and YOU know I love a good storm. I love the way you tied them all together and just rode the storm for all it was worth. Excellent my friend...but of course ....right? |

Absolutely beautiful and wonderful and vivid works here...and I think Balladeer is right and there's nothing you can't do extremely well, my friend. *Krista Knutson* "Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." -Confucious |

Thanks everyone, Ethan, thanks for the challenge ... Haikus arent my strong point so ya made me work and thats always a good thing. I found that amazing picture and knew I had to write about it in some way. Sweet sweet Deer and Krista... if you only knew....it be a lot easier to tell you what I DO -do well... than the other way around.. but i do so love ya for only seeing my good side. thankyou for those generous sweet replies. later-end of my rainbow-gators me |

"clouds break and open sunbeams finger thru dark mist rainbows arch in sky" All have beautiful imagery Janet Marie, but if I try to pick a favorite (though you make it nearly impossible girl!), I choose this lovely haiku above. No, the first one, no ... the third one ... doh! I love them all!!! Best wishes, /Kit |
