Sandalwood The fabric of your voice is a feather I think that finds the curve of my spine and traces it slowly It is colored with vibrant and can measure a moment with listening black velvet that breathes in my circumference Sow a place here in this room and cover me with deep words short words whispered words words that fibrillate my center Sing to me your vibrato torch my ear with listening you walk across my life now like new grass…you grass You are who I am and have laid me down again and again across the tapestry for I have seen you in between minutes watching and taking the path that brings me to the reach of your melting tongue and your skin of sandalwood |

Ok - so I SO had my mouth hanging open here... BLEW me away... The fabric of your voice is a feather I think that finds the curve of my spine and traces it slowly WOW You just rock Martie. That's all I can say hey? Hugs. K "He looked across the silky surface of the Severn... it was a famously difficult river with fierce tides..." From Jack Maggs |

Martie I've never asked another poet to explain their poem to me, but what does this one mean. It seems you have expressed yourself very well, but understanding it is where I fail. I guess you can tell that if it doesn't rhyme, the poem kinda blows my mind. Hopefully by asking this is not an insult because it's not what I meant. I just thought that I would try a different comment. But I would like to know. Garfield |

Reading the texture of your words Like gentle fur of kittens Woven in soft silk Or the luxury of satin sheets There’s a music in your words Measure for measure Their harmonies are celestial Taking me to the spheres And the color of them Shaded with the warmth of yellows Heated with the hues of reds Cooled with the sparkle of Varigated eyes I immerse myself in your words No waterfall No Jacuzzi No icy pool Stimulates me to the core As do your metaphors and phrases So play on your music Paint on – redecorate my life Set my bed in satin I can ask no more |

across the grassy knolls of your being cherished the words of play and praise and upon the rising of tomorrows sun let there be not only sandalwood but that of the purest scents in essence greeting the dew filled morns as honeysuckle dreams and melons breathe in the titilating response to nature's all and forever my grass will stay from erosion upon breasted hill within the center of your circumference refreshing you in the seeds of tomatoes ripened and petals pure. "It is colored with vibrant and can measure a moment with listening black velvet that breathes in my circumference" Oh Martie ... I don't know how you do it, but you surely do every time. Amazing wording and incredible imagery softly whispers through this read. Just beautiful! Best wishes, /Kit |

Martie Thanks for explaining that to me. I went back and read this piece again and I could dance along with that song you were hearing. I could also dance along with many that repeat in my mind. Thanks again. This was extremely beautiful. Garfield |
