Through My Eyes Don’t turn those pretty brown eyes blue There is someone who thinks a lot of you I know you are down And feeling like no one cares But just take a few minutes today And look at you through my eyes Look at you from my mind For my eyes have seen you At your worst and at your best In this old world They hold you above the rest They have seen you in your slenderness They have seen you at your heaviest These eyes have looked at you in tenderness These eyes have looked at you in anger But they have always looked at you with love So when you are feeling low Your mind feels like it is going to blow Just stop and say how would he look at me And you will see In your minds eye Someone that loves you Me |

It's a nice feeling to know that there is usually someone out there that thinks better of us than what we think of ourselves at times. A great reminder to everyone, thank you! |

Alan, what a beautifully penned sentiment. If I could see the world through your eyes I'm sure that it would be a place of mystery and surprise a better place for me. Be well Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |

I thought this looked familiar! Saw you in Judy's place, too! Bringing out another perspective, through someone else's eyes. Corinne |

Alan this is so beautiful, had to let you know you've got it right on it's really true, when you can see the person as they really are through all good and bad and still want to hold them and be with them still you know that's worth everything. Totally enticed with your poem. |

Ah, yes...we would all look at ourselves differently if we could look at ourselves through the eyes of those who love us! Very nice, Alan! Denise |

This really is very lovely, and someone is quite honored! "When red-haired girls scamper like roses over the rain-green grass, and the sun drips honey."" Laurie Lee Kathleen |

Thank for taking the time to read this. I have a very special lady in my life. Only thing that doesn't ring true is that her eyes are blue. Thank you for your comments. Alan |
