You've thought it over standing there so sure and smug. I’m bitter tasting blood trickles tickles on my head. My fruitless efforts to tear the wall. Through the glass you don’t smile. The depth; your eyes no tears for loss In the corner I hide from you Lover Of my life. You thrust more food through the hole your arm recoiling back Why was that? Some kind of fear? So I say why not go solitude surrender. It’s been hell this time endured in heartless observation. Listen close. Perk your ears. … go away You don’t seem even stricken. Lights out echoes harsh. It’s dark. It’s cold. We wait to see who will call the other first. Silence reigns. In early morning you have for me a comb a razor you slide them through You smile at me. I recoil back Why was that? Some kind of fear? My growth is wild My unkempt hair I ask myself why would you care But then I know I’m just for show The wall the cage was formed, in a Pseudo- Desperation. Just guilt for guilty. Who's cage blind now? A worn out tale I built this wall The cage came Seden- tar- ily. Drip the guilt for the guilty You keep me here with razor stiff I’ll let some blood and end this swift. Now time for food the razor wet You slide my dish I catch your wrist the rats in here have made me quick Whisper softly Make a wish. The watch you wear a birthday gift I gave to you and in its face I can reflect Your eyes were wide As wide as now. My friends the rats they will choose to let you live or die. For all the time you've locked me here the pen- du- lum falls once more Was I your pretty plaything? [This message has been edited by wayoutwalt (edited 09-30-2000).] |

Hi Walt. All I can say is WOW! This is different from your normal tone, but excellent as usual. There is something I sense in it I can't explain! My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber. |

I have a feeling I know this is about. Was this a nightmare or what? Sounds cold and dreary my friend! Here's a bright smile for you and a warm HUG! This is different, but well written! <*\\\>< I know not what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future. |

Walt~ Might be my mood tonight - While I'm not often fond of dark - I could empathize with this write. 'It’s been hell this time endured in heartless observation.' 'You slide my dish I catch your wrist the rats in here have made me quick' Differently well-written. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I never quite know what's in store when I click on you Walt! This was an incredibly powerful read, held me captivated from beginning to end. It's an amazing wall we can build between us and another, caged in the world we create. I often wonder ... whose on which side?? Excellent read Walt! Best wishes, /Kit |
