How can I say it? let me see, how can I say it, oh, here, yes, let me query if you could kiss my lipstick off would it be slow or in a hurry? If you could muss my hair a bit and leave me breathless and flushed would it surprise you at all that you can make me blush? now let me ask would you get two left feet if we tried to dance on down the street? or could we take it slow and sure, and sway to a romantic overture and in the moonlight and a sonata in the air could I find my senses in your stare? and if I begin to cry from sheer joy of the here and now would you find a way somehow to kiss my lipstick off and quell the salty tears? ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 29 September, 2000 |

Hmmmm , me thinks that slow would be in order and of course some dance lessons as well. Excellent poem Karilea, and now I have thoughts in my head and no-one to turn them to!!!!! In time though I suppose, in time....she will be in my arms. Yeah, positive thinking.  |

Karilea, I'd kiss your lipstick if Lorelei, Didn't promise that I would die. But she is vigilant, on her guard, She won't let me out of the yard! I really enjoyed this poem once I figured out the structure. Splitting lines like that was tricky, you lil devil! |

LJA, Kit, this was truly to have been a free verse piece...I find myself happier to allow the pen to flow without requisite construction lately...I think they could be referred to as heartsounds to describe it correctly... thank you both for your kind replies... Like Mark - If I were not committed - (not a strong enough word) - I'd find a way to find myself there and there'd be no trace of lipstick - JMHO - but you've got to be wonderful - based on the poetry you write |
