Transparent bars imprison him in my weak heart As easily as my spirit is broken, it all falls apart Taking me captive and drowning me in unrelenting depths Wanting more, needing more But it is unattainable I am caught in a passage way, Growing darker Growing colder Growing smaller A journey with no end He will never be mine Always an arms length away I am unable to draw him near to me And as easily as he breaks the paper chains away, He tapes them back together. |

a well penned verse. it's like going back because you just can't help yourself. i like the image of paper chains and taping them up again. very well worded. i look forward to catching more of your work floating around in here.< !signature--> "And yesterday went by so quick it seems like it was just a day." I remember those paper chains, and how easily they broke. Excellent writing here. I like your use of uncommonly used items to explain relationships. Take care. catalinamoon |
