Mountains Are Climbed by Linda Munday One step forward One step backward On the treadmill track The views the same It does not change Clear vision is what lacks Behind is past It does not last Future appears bleak No rosey eyes Gone azure skies The thunder at it’s peak The light is dull What fills this hole? Answers do evade Resilient heart A cautious start Though best foundations laid The search is on Want this pain gone? It’s found within your soul Mountains are climbed One step at a time With eyes fixed on a goal One step forward No steps backward The mountain’s not so steep Pinnacle peace Finding release No longer do you weep Tentative tread Banishing dread Gliding over stones Revived and free It’s meant to be Peace, take us to your home |

linda... sometimes life seems just like a treadmill, but there's a certain funny kind of security in the balance of forward and backward. I loved this.....it got me to thinking!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |
