Brisk impersonal hands adjust the bared breast between ice cold metal plates; experienced and bored as a downtown lunch-hour pizza baker flipping dough back and forth on a breadboard. ~ ~ ~ Hydraulic force squeezes plates the tightly compressed bosom stunned and powerless. ~ ~ ~ Invisible light peers into the vault searching with spotlights for any mutant cell invasion; taking pictures. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “You can breathe now.” ~ ~ ~ What makes you think so? |

They squeeze the breath out of you then say hold your breath. I've got news for them I couldn't of breathed if I wanted to. Loved the way you wrote about it!!!! |

Rosemary~ With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month ... this is a wonderful timely post. I encourage ALL of our sisters to schedule their mammogram NOW ! ! Personally, I've never found the mammogram examination to be either painful or frightening ... but NOT having it done - can be deadly ! Thank you for this post, my friend. Love you~ *Laughing at Martie ! LOL ! Oh ... my gosh ! I love you, gal ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thank you, my friends, for your sweet and funny comments! Marge is right. Even if it is scary, and gives a too-tight squeeze, it is very important to do. After all, we want to live as long as possible, right!???!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! Thank you, Marge, for the timely comment. Err...All I can think of is OUCH!! Sounds painful, but important. This is a good description you give here. It just HAS to be to make me grimace like this. My name isn't Baby, and I don't want to cyber. |

This is great! And a necessary reminder. Marge: I think the level of discomfort depends on many things... but primarily it depends on the technician and what your doc has ordered... compression view follow ups just aren't gonna be fun. *S* However, the alternative is excellent incentive to step up to the plate! Temptress - YES it was an ouch! And I grimaced too! But when I got to thinking about the downtown pizza maker at noon, and thought about the resemblance between his impersonal flapping of the pizza dough, and this person’s impersonal flapping of my poor boobie - it had to make me laugh. It was then, that I thought I would put it into words! suthern - I can see you know a lot. And you are right. The alternative is EXCELLENT incentive to step up to the plate! Yessureeee Bub! my daughter -(now 30) had a lumpectomey (sp?) when she was still in teens - I can't recommend this procedure - however uncomfortable - highly enough (she doesn't know I know my ex told me) I myself have suffered colonoscopys - and will continue to do so - if it saves me from what my mother went through Loved how you wrote this ~S~ |

So, Friday the reports were all in, all wasn't so well... but don't worry baby-bubba I'll be right there with you. All My Love Your husband Dale If I could paint a portrait, of this life in which I've led, and somehow sketch a story, of the visions in my head, I'd start out with a canvas, stretched tightly in a frame, and in the bottom corner, I'd leave room to sign my name.
