The cold came in and touched my soul I feel it always feel its hold and I wander to the glass and breathe the warmth of summer's past... expelling circles of the fog dreaming of a yuletide log and all the hopes of spark within-- the wish, the prayer to live again... Solstice she my dampened friend-- the dark of days shan't do me in... I watch I wait I bow my head knowing loving light instead... one candle burning all I need a flicker's yearning plant of seed--- a solitary whim of need... a spark of life dispelling dread the boast of birth from something dead. |

The light of a single candle is enough to lead us home from the darkness..enough to warm a heart that has been touched with ice...and enought to ignite the soul with hope and love again...exquisite writing S'en, you have kissed this one with hopes lips...Love ya my friend~ [This message has been edited by Butterflies_dont_cry (edited 11-16-2000).] |

Dear Serenity ~ I see hundreds of candles at your doorstep ... go take a peek. Actually, we, here, have lit hundreds of candles in our minds for you and have sent words aloft in your name. Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |

This piece is beautiful!!! The flow is gentle and fluid. The images are vivid. This is my first post, and after going through everything to get to post, I've already forgotten your author name, but not the effect your piece has had on me. I also enjoyed the comments so far. It shows me others were affected by your talent as well. Thanks for the read. |

Serenity, you are amazing........... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

beautiful, yes indeed. i have a vendetta against short lines (as yours are) but you made them work. i love candles. i've written poetry about them, but i find when i write about them, i'm far too cliche. but you, my dear, have succeeded in not being so. |

Today would not be the same without this repost. Light a candle for her on this day. I miss you like crazy lady on this Southward Equinox. Carpe' Diem |
