My heart is filled with jubilation
A song I sing of praise and thanks
Never suspecting, not really looking
Surprised by unexpected joy

So many dreary days have passed
Each one monotonous as the last
I'd given up on finding you
I turned around and then I knew

The shooting stars lit up the sky
The clouds were passing by like trains
It happened with the speed of light
I know I'll never be the same

I've pushed aside second-guessing
I'll take each day as it comes
And smile each night as we continue
To live in unexpected joy
