-If I Were Blind-

If I had just one glass eye,
I'd see you here in me --
and just because both eyes are real,
I'll tell you what i see.
I see a man who's sensitivity
arouses pleasure.
I see a man who I would like
to give love, double-measure.
I see a man who's heart is opened
to my tender hand.
I see a man who's mind and soul
I want to understand.

If I were blind it wouldn't matter,
I would still see you.
I'd see you in the words you say
And all the things you do.
I'd see you in the warmth of summer,
See you in the fall,
And, seeing you there in my heart
Is always best of all.

The blind man heard her words of love,
An echo in his mind
Of peace and love and happiness
He thought he'd never find.
He looked through shadows darkly
Prayed to God to find the might
To make his love appear before
Two eyes now filled with sight

The blind man thought he saw her
But perhaps she was a dream.
The blind man loved his vision but
He wandered on the seam
Of destiny and circumstance
While trying to see through
The depths of souls enmeshing
While the world was out of view.

The blind man was so loved by her
She'd take his cup and cane
And lead him to the ecstasy
Far past the dark refrain.

Michael and Doreen,
eye, eye, I agree with the others. A blind man could see the wonder in this seamless piece.

Believe me I don't need sight to see what has been happening with you two. I can hear it in your words. BEAUTIFUL
