You Must Have

You must have heard my heart sighing for you
As I lay wrapped in the velvet star spangled night
You must have met my soul as she sought for you
As she roamed looking for loves everlasting light
Wandering in wishes dreams seking love so true

You must have known I needed you to hold me
As I reached for your comfort through my tears
You must have shown my soul where she could, must be
As she struggled against those lonely sad years
Searching endlessly for her one true place to be

You must have seen my spirit weeping with pain
As I hungered for your heavenly and blessed touch
You must have heard it call you over and over again
As she trembled, shaking, needing you so very much
Wondering if she was going mad or even insane

You must have touched my heart just one time
As I spoke your name whispered it into the still air
You must have felt its heat and understood its sign
As it beat against my breast hoping that you'd care
Knowing that only you would make my soul shine

Marsha

Hey Marsha this is smooth and warm, yet it's crying at the same time... you must have been daydreaming heavy and getting good vibes about this person finally coming around to make you happy......very nice work by the way Iloved the question statements, they're reader friendly...ethome

Ethome, I'm feeling a little blue today, missing my man if the truth be known. So I think that's why this is a little less than effervescant. I'm glad you like it, and I'm glad the warmth came through it too. Thank you for reading it.
Take care

Sounds as if you need to grab ahold of that man of yours and not let go for awhile.  You say that you are missing him and I hope that he is not too far away so that you can do just that.  Either way, I am sure that he is missing you as much or more knowing your heart from your poetry.  Lovely but heartfelt sadness in this one my president.

Circe, you are so sweet, truly you are. It's not that I fault your judgement, I don't. It's just that I find it really hard to see merit in something I've written. So I thank you, I truly do. Now all you have to do is come up with a cute name, something like
MAP, No I'm not going to tell you, you'll work it out. I know. !

Mark my friend, when I get the chance to grab ahold of him I will, I assure you. It's just one of those times you know, still it's only a temporary thing, thank goodness. And I'm sure he misses me as much as I do him.  I do thank you for saying such nice things about me. And I thank you for taking the time to stop by, I know you don't have much time at the moment so a visit from you is doubly, ten times as much appreciated. And I always appreciate my friends dropping by anyway.

Take care
