Caught in the weft of time
No longer feeling myself
A whisper on the wind
The keening of an elf
Who is lost to all
Like autumn leaves now fall

Caught on a breeze of hope
Sighing in the wind
Looking for the grounding rope
Of the "what might have been"
Wailing in the dark
Failing in life's spark

Slowly fade away
In the morning's light
Nothing left for me to stay
With nothing left to fight
Then what will I be
But fading memory.

Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed?

Thanks everyone,
Now I'm sure I could become a fading memory if I could just figure out how to stop writing or posting. *Grins*

I love your poetry, all of it.  It reveals a depth to you I bet others rarely see. And touches something in me.  I honest;y don't think I could put so muc emotion into 3 paragraphs.  I'd need chapters to do what you do.
