Deep in the heart

How I hunger to look deep into your eyes
(Your love nourishes me; addicting nector)
I feel my lost heart soaring into the skies;

To feel my heart’s rhythm, yes, even the skips,
(Your love clothes me, protects me in every way)
while I savor the sweet softness of your lips;

To hold you gently in my arms as we kiss,
(Your love caresses me like a fine spring mist)
we give ourselves completely to that sweet bliss;

To share a love so overwhelmingly true,
(Your love is my Gibraltar giving me strength)
and to share that pure love with no one but you;

To hear you whisper those words of love to me,
(Your love is the soft whisper that stirs my soul)
knowing that you and I shall always be WE.

Interloper,

To hear you whisper those words of love to me,
(Your love is the soft whisper that stirs my soul)
knowing that you and I shall always be WE.

Such sweet sentiments, nicely written.
Dee

Interloper...you are interloping into many hearts today...

quite smoothly I might add...

I enjoyed each and every line of this...

SOFT SWEET SIGH

Look within the heart of a poet, and you will see a reflection of their soul.

What a beautiful image your name brings to mind. Thanks for the "stunning" and I will continue to strive for perfection.  One of the nicest comments I've ever had.

InterLoper~
I like this piece.
Very tenderly done.
And I quite agree with some others -
It has *swoonability* !

Marge ~
"Swoonability" ... now there's a fine compliment.  And from such a talented person.
Thank you.

A great piece, classicly written, with precise attention to meter and rhyme and an endearing message of the passions of love.
Enjoyed it lots   !

Great resounding metaphors tied immediately into a summation of the meaning of each one.. I wonder if Marge knows whether that is a real word  swoonability....this is a very good poem!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You might like to know that the part in parentheses are thoughts that have not been, but should be, spoken.

I thougth I would bring back up the favorite I had read before, to inspire to get that pen of yours writing more than a senryu   This was incredible romantic, and you sir, are the master in the department!  I would like to see you and Enchantress write together or Greeneyes maybe?
