Once Upon a Midnight Lover

As fresh as the morning dew he offers his love tenderly to you.
As lovely as the setting sun shared tender moments everyone.
Love coming to you only when you give love too.
Partaking only when you freely give
forced love will slowly die not live.
Come all lovely maidens and partake while you can.
Share some of your warm, sweet love with this midnight loverman.
He offers love sweet l'amour
with a promise you will never be alone anymore.
This story unfolds about the midnight hour
a pretty girl is alone in a steamy shower.
She feels a gentle tap upon her shoulder.
To her dismay the man of love stands before her.
Now some women would totally freak out
frantically grabbing a towel and saying "get out".
But not on this particular occasion
cause this late night lover embraces sweet persuasion.
"I have your towel ready my dear.
The pillows are fluffed and extra blankets are near.
A gentle massage awaits your moment of pleasure.
Cookies and warm milk have been layed down.
the midnight lover is back in town."
Some say he only appears when the moon is big and bright
and candles melt and flicker late into the night.
Truthfully I do not know if he's a legend from long ago.
I do know he is a friend and not a foe.
My lady friend says he is an essential delight
a vibrant handsome Casanova of the night.
When pressed for how he looks she simply says "Iglesias" or "Romeo" or even "Brad Pitt"
would be a perfect fit.
Another woman did reveal a time this man of love gave her a thrill.
Seems she was home alone while sad and lonely.
A lovers lie causing her to cry.
For just the day before she had found her lover
wrapped up in the arms of another.
Suddenly her phone did ring so momentarily she stopped her tears.
Perhaps her boyfriend would be offering an apology and whisper sweet nothings in her ear.
Imagine her surprise when she did discover
twas not her boyfriend after all it twas the midnight lover.
They talked awhile til they laughed and smiled.
He had all the right words to say
to completely take her sadness away.
Two friends in need became two friends indeed.
He the midnight lover extraordinaire.
She a women in need of his tender care.
Please don't misunderstand as he offers not only sex my friend.
Friendship is where it all begins.
He's been known to offer a much needed warm embrace.
A gentle kiss upon wanton silky lips.
And oh yes he offers companionship and a loving touch
sometimes that means so very much.
He's even planted a gentle kiss right onto the lovely Julia Roberts lips.
Yes he's been around all over town.
If you hunger for romance he will always be willing to take that chance.
For I know he can not resist romantic music in the middle of the night.
Candle's flickering warm and bright
on silky romantic starlit nights
and wine and roses before a kiss goodnight.
When questioned of his musical desires they say Beethoven and Mozart light his fire.
Savagegarden, Celine Dion, BeeGees and Air Supply all sing the songs his romantic heart desires.
So lovely maidens think of him around the midnight hour
and light a candle to show him the way
and soon enough you will discover
this exquisively delightful midnight lover.

For me, the wow comes in the mystery of the man. Who seems to be all a woman can want, yet unattainable on committed ground. Like a "patch-work" lover, delightful, sinful, and never forever. (That's what I see)
Enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed the last four lines of the poem the most.  They seem to wrap up its entirety.  Luvdit, coursewise.
