Memories of you and I
Ache
My heart, an empty cup
once filled with you
and overflowing
Now bone dry and
barren
Collecting dust
in the corner of the
dark room
where I hide it.......

Funny,
even so far away
there are times that it's emptiness
screams loudly
Piercing my ears
in it's loss
and I have to brace myself
against the howling pain
of You

Memory tears slide slowly
wandering streams down my face
One for each time you touched
my soul,
for each laugh
each gentle tenderness
and it's no wonder
the cup of my heart
overflowed.........

To capture and live a moment is truly living

This is absolutely stunning...the pain is so
overwhelming and the heart-ache bleeds in
this piece...you wove the emotion so deeply
into the words that it covers the
reader...excellent writing~

You've captured these feelings very well; sadly true how much memories can bring pain.  If this is a current situation, I hope things are improved for you.

I found this passage, in particular, to be very striking. You've expressed a pronounced anguish so well with this piece. Thank you ~
