Listening to every heart

~~~soft words~~~
what we need to hear
is the soft of our conversation
words sprung from yesterday's romance
giving back that velvet glance
and taking this,
that one-more-chance
because we can
although we've taken a stand
apart
we still speak
from the heart
although not as lovely
as once before
bitter sometimes guards the door
but I need to hear
that conversation soft
oft as once it came
from your lips
and spread like a silken cloth
around these hips
that once were more slender, true
but that which still
belongs to you
as you say you
belong to me
and I wonder if I want you, see?
just as you then wonder of me…
so can we store the angry words
let them go away, unheard?
and take this hour, take it longer
to see if there is still the hunger
of what once was in passion's kiss
to see if it is something to miss
and find out if there lies aloft
a message from a conversation soft…
The reality of this piece touched me deeply.  Love over time is the most wonderful of all.  Excellent writing here.  Your emotions come across very well.
Soft words lead to sweetness; as sweet as what you've written here
such a beautiful plea, Sunshine, from a woman who cares. Nothing is sadder than when soft words turn harsh....softness is vital.
Kari...if I said beautiful, it'd not be enough. This is a soul toucher, one that nestles down deep and speaks the truths many try not to see, the inevitable, that comes as time walks by being denied by mind and eye...
but truth nevertheless, as  look in the mirror will tell.  This is when love is tested and and should hold strong. This is also when real stupidy hits some of us and we do/say stupid things and lose in the end.
That is if anything I just said makes any sense.
well written my friend
Marsha, what a special place to be...your library...thank you...
Thank you Jon...
Sven, I'm SUCH a nag...
James, that is one of the loveliest compliments, that to touch a soul renders the best in all poets...you among them...I am finally beginning to know to take written words from my treasured chest and attempting to pour them forth...so know, Sir, that what you said is so right...as you have always been...thank you...
