Tears fall from my face, as I whence out in pain Stabbing like a knife, feeling alone and insane Looking around the room, grasping for a breathe I find noone, as I look into the eyes of death What life holds for me, answers I try to find I cannot see anything, I feel as though I'm blind Trying so hard, not to fall in the hands of pity The knife cuts deeper, losing my sanity Falling to the floor, giving in to despair My fate is sealed, I no longer care Rock bottom is a hard, and lonely place to be But every time I hit, a bright shining light I see The answers come to me, they were not there before Grabbing my hand, you pull me up from the floor The pain begins to subside, I am not alone You open your hand, and give me a stone You were with me the whole time, body and soul Consumed by the pain, my heart it stole The pain I felt, all the time secluded Thoughts of emptiness, my mind polluted |

I believe we have all been there once or twice and it is not a place of preference but sadly it IS a fact of life. Wonderful penning from your quill. |

"when this life makes you mad enough to kill; that's rock bottom. when you want somethin' bad enough to steal; that's rock bottom. when you feel like you've had it up to here 'cause you mad enough to scream but you sad enough to tear... that's rock bottom." a wise person once said, that if your already at the bottom of the barrel, there's only one place to go. up Everyone's got their demons. We all got somethin' to atone for. |

Thank you Mark. You are so kind. *smile* I was afraid this poem might be too personal and loose readers in the depth. They say we write our best at the most challenging time of our life. When the lessons are the hardest. |

~AngelEyes you speak with wisdom and truth. something about this piece draws me to it. perhaps its because it describes a part of human emotion with such depth and intensity. and no i didn't get lost lol. look forward to reading more of your work. take care. ~amy~ ![]() "The head learns knew things, but the heart forever more practices old experiences" |

Angeleyes, things get us down sometimes and the pain is sometimes unbearable, and you convey this in your poem, this was very sad but so much emotion put into this. |

Never too personal. There are forums for just about every depth you could need and no matter what you pen you should ALWAYS be able to submit it in the proper one with the few exceptions mentioned in the rules before you signed on. Came back just to read again and saw your reply so I thought I would respond. It was even better the second time around so thank you for sharing it with us. |
