My head on a pillow
on her lap
these eyes fall under lids
heavy with peace
was it a touch or her sigh
that adjusted the fringe off
my face?

still

I sleep yes I sleep
as the rise of her breath
rocks me against her breast
and deeper deeper into her
I fall
yes my head held safe
with love

This one brought a soothing smile.   and like WhtDove it brought back the memories from so long ago of falling asleep in my Mothers lap.

Maree, a tender moment you have penned, it touches the soul with the soothing moment of being safe and secure near someone you love so dearly.

Ahhh-- how soft and warm a picture you paint... a step from the womb perspective almost..
