(after reading Marge's poem, "Who Hung That Moon?", I recalled this poem ...from many moons ago.  Thanks Marge!)

(The moon is such a fickle thing
it brings us love and thoughts that sting
it captures moments in its light
and turns them into pure delight.
It can make us weep
it can make us sigh
but it made me smile
and this was why.)

Moon Rising

I never saw it
quite that way before,
saffron cheeks just resting
for a moment on the hill,
an old Jack-O-Lantern
sagging into November,
dots of trees silhouetted
like a day's growth
on an upper lip.
It tickled me
to see such majesty
turned comic,
and I had to write this poem
for the smile in me.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
(ee cummings)

Martie~

See ! Cloudy skies are swept away,
with poetic glow in soft array.
Dancing across the coast to you,
sister to sister ... in glowing hue.

You are just such a delightful friend.
This tickles me too !
I love you and send you great big smiles
on the moonbeams path !

Like the intro Martie nice words for sure... and then these ones "saffron cheeks just resting for a moment on the hill" got to love those word pictures and how you saw the jack-o-lantern in that pose... I'm glad you saw the comic in the scene and it made you smile.....loved this one!

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound.
