Through leafless branches
morning breaks rose petal pink -
I drink black coffee.

I usually am not a fan of Haiku, but I liked this one, the second line was so visual.

Two of my favorite contrasting colors!  Rose petal pink and black coffee black.  Which color do you like to wear?

I'll have to agree with you on the pink.  I like to look at it, but it's really hard to bring myself to wear it.  *grins*  Black used to be my favorite color to wear, but then I moved to a place where it was a very depressing idea to wear black because the sun might cook you like a loaf of bread if you wore it.  So now I'm all about blue jeans and white tshirts.  And, yes yes yes, blue and green go great together!

I enjoyed your moment very much as well..."trees whisper loss"  what a great image! "Whispers" finds its way into so many of my poems, I like how you used it in yours. Thanks for reading and sharing
