Too Many... - Jeff Osborne 2000 (V1.) I’m being pulled too many different directions The stress is beginning to show My search for answers just creates more questions So many things I still don’t know (Chorus) Am I trying too hard? Or not hard enough? Too many lines in the water Are you making this easy? Or am I making it tough? Too many roads to travel Am I being too gentle? Or do you like it rough? (V2.) I’m still playing games but I’ve forgotten the rules This beauty I tried to create Threw away the instructions and blunted the tools And now I fear it’s too late (Chorus) (Bridge) Where’s my three-wish genie? Where’s my happy ending? Where’s my dream come true? My fairy tale princess is still sleeping My Cinderella is still missing her shoe (Chorus) …and I still don’t know what to do |

Thanks Paula. I'm working through the grief; it's just difficult when you feel like you are running out of places to turn and you're not sure you like what you see in the mirror either. But I'm still smiling ![]() |

I believe I was in this place not so many months ago and you just persevere thru because you have to and the day will arrive when you are past this and life seems to be going your way again...James |

Thank you, Kethry ![]() James and Amy, Thanks for your words of encouragement. I'd say that I'm a combination of a realist and an optimist (translation: sh_t happens but I'm still smiling! lol) so I'm sure that I will be OK. I'm just not ready to quit the dream yet. |

Hey Jeff it's good to make your aquaintance here...the most of what I write is lyric oriented and I enjoy that style...I can see the pattern here and these are good lyrics .. I really like the bridge... love the words.. I also like how you set the hook in the first vs. and the chorus..."Too Many" good stuff!! |

ethome, Your words of praise for my song are especially appreciated; you're the first person who has critiqued and complimented my "lyrical" style. Although I enjoy writing poetry, I am first and foremost a musician and it has always been my desire to put my words to music. Thank you for recognizing the song in addition to the sentiment. - Jeff |

Nothing worse than a "shoeless" Cinderella. I'd love to hear this set to music, along with your other works. Take me as I am or watch me as I go |
