I could never attempt forgiveness
nor dare I be the fool
to explain my hearts trial
and let all slip away.
I am my souls decision
for which course I do take
and in frail eyes I see you
your tears consume my ache.
Of a distant memory revield
one of white satin dreams
where the isle became our heaven
the windows of our names.
I could never attempt to say
what my heart has lost
for in doing so admits defeat
and the time which we once won.

...and this is why I fell for your poetry on first read ...
heart and soul ...in every line.
to love with out regret ... even in the losses ...
I have missed your beautiful words here ...
take care of you

I can only say, remember the time that was won. . . for it will always be yours. . .

. . . well done. . .

Love lost and gained are always for a reason.  Your talents always blow my mind, and this poem is no exception.

This is a wonderful poem.  Sorry that you might have to make that choice.  But take heart in what you had.
