A One Act Play It's said and sworn that I snore Heavy breathing to oceans roar. And this invites her nightly game With silence as the prize and aim. By devilish finger, toe or blow She wakes me up to let me know. Pulls the pillow from above And swears it's an act of love. In ghostly haunt throughout the night Phantoms touch me out of sight. Or bugle me a hoary tune Enough to make an Angel swoon. And there I stay in semi wake Tortured body quelled in quake. To wait in purgatory's well That opens to the doors of hell. This bed I share in love and hate Of purr and growl of sate and fate Goad's and feeds the nightly bowl Where dragons take their nightly stroll To a harp that's sharp of sound That will and wont my sleep profound Fills my store with lovers awe for She snores as bad as I and more. Twenty four hours this one act play Morning noon and matinee. |

LOL...relating....oh, relating... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Sy-Way to go, now if they only made the stage just a little bigger so snorers could get rolled out just a tad further..., I can relate, nicely done. |

Oh, Seymour... this is wonderful! Just remind her that there are people who'd sell their souls to hear their dear one snore... and if that still doesn't work and get you some undisturbed sleep, pinch back in such a way neither of you worry about sleeping! LOL |

LOL! Sy, this is delightful! I once elbowed my husband a little too hard for snoring one night! Needless to say, he wasn't very happy with me. He swears I snore to, but I know I don't! For some reason I wake him up to tell him he's snoring. Figure that one out. LOL! I don't know why I do it. It'll just be a matter of minutes before it happens again! |
