Morning Sun slowly enters under feathers I still lay replaying last nights dreams and all they had to say I am swimming, body weightless in a beautiful sea of green so warm as it surrounds me Heart and Soul could finally breathe Rays of light did enter shining on only what mattered the beauty that surrounds me I knew here, would not be shattered I could feel the warmth upon my skin senses awaking, "I am alive" I finally found the "Sea of Love" Found the meaning of my life A current swiftly passed sent a shiver down my skin My body felt so cold god, I can hardly swim Darkness then surrounded Body numbed and all alone I rose above in search of shore the time came, I had to go I sit upon this shore alone every breath hurts my lungs As the green of his eyes fades away along with the glow of his love I will sit on this shore forever loving you from within For this is where you end and where I must now begin......... Darkness then surrounded Body numbed and all alone I rose above in search of shore the time came, I had to go I sit upon this shore every breath hurts my lungs As the green of his eyes fades away along with the glow of his love I will sit on this shore forever loving you from within For this is where you end and where I must now begin......... ================= Jenn, this is excellent... this is your most well written and expressed piece. powerful, impactous, emotions.. enhanced by well defined imagery... and those last 2 lines are perfection of poetry. I have often asked my self... why our finest poetry so often comes to us when we are hurting the most. thank you for the wonderful replies left on my work. take care and keep woking thru it all in your writing jm |
