~~~ This is where I live ~~~ Sun rays are dancing over the frozen landscape… Clouds are lazily adrift in an azure sky… The illusionary sparkle of light does not escape these eyes… nor does the chance to heave a sigh… Tall spruce and hemlock shake their snowy arms, which angers squirrels preparing for their nap… Early Winter has it’s own prepatory charm… and Fall is now cradled in Winter’s pure white lap… Look to the sky to follow trails of hurried birds… Time to go back…to vacation in the South… While the eagles gather up the warm springs of the river, and dare to fly into the cold breath of Winter’s gaping mouth… Seasons move on with Nature’s change… Eyes behold, and age enhances the scene… Time brings inner vision, and ability to view our home globe… Time to wonder…time to ponder life, and all it means… For this moment…the sun is climbing ever upward… Diamond drops glitter as snow melts off the branches… Go enjoy, for Winter’s sleepy eyes are not fully opened… Greet the sun… and she will teach your heart to dance! Follow your dream! |
Sunny, no one can ever be chilled with your warm words and warmer heart... beautiful digs, this! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |
Sunny fits you as a pen name indeed. You have brought such warmth with your words. You have made my day a sunny day. thank you. Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |
How beautiful this is! Is that really where you live, Sunny? It looks like God's living room.... |
~~~ James ~~~ Yes....it is really cold in the Winter, but it's a close-knit little village full of people with warm hearts, that make it seem warmer!! Thank you!! ~~~ Jenn E ~~~ Thank you so much for reading here, and I'm glad I could show you my home!! ~~~ Sunshine ~~~ Oh...good to see you today!! Believe it or not, even in the winter, we have a lot of 'sunshine' here, too! Thank you!! ~~~ Ron ~~~ I'm so glad I could put a little sun into your day!! It helps on a winter day!! ~~~ Balladeer ~~~ Yes....I do live here. It's what Alaska looks like before winter really sets in! The snow can be seen on these peaks almost all year. And these mountains are known to shake pretty good during our frequent earthquakes. Yes...this might be God's living room...you can almost see the whole world from here!! Thank you for stopping by and glad you enjoyed!! ~~~ Victoria ~~~ I really am glad I found a way to share some of this with my family here. Maybe we ought to have a forum with pictured poetry, and call it "World Tour". Everyone could post pictures of where they live, and our worlds would come together. Well...thank you, my friend!! Follow your dream! |
