Rolling Away ~*Marge Tindal*~ I reached for your memory last night and it rolled away from me In giant steps I chased after it looking down corridors of familiarity only to find that in it's hasty retreat it had left no footprints There were times I tried to chase it away and it would not go Now ... now when I feel the need to revisit the love we shared I can't find a trace of you anywhere I looked for the tears that I cried and left puddled on the pillow It seems that I can no longer find them to wallow in I turn to leave and run smack into a remembering wall of you Suddenly I am crying them again and it hurts as much as when you left the first time *For those who need to know you are not alone in your feelings* ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
