"The Sound of Wind" Into the night I make my way and stray across the shadowed green Alone at start of darkening day enjoying solitude, serene And as I walk my musings fall to life's impossibilities Your tender voice's quiet call A dream, I feel you next to me But no, it is the sound of wind in autumn's race through lingering leaf or spirits, sad, of those who've sinned whose own desire was granted grief My heart, aswirl with honest ache for what I need to be your touch transcends the crest, horizons wake, to shed a tear in loving's clutch Rainydays |

Twas my words to you rested on the wind In hopes of your path they would descend Silent whispers sent aloft in heaven's height To find the heart that cries in the night =================== Such wonderful verses from you and such beautiful ways of expressing your heart. I do so love the way you write and the way that you find so many solo moments turning to thoughts of longing and dreams that we all deserve to know. This shows me that your heart is one that reaches out is honest and sincere touch. Keep on writing and so glad to see that the flu has not taken away your muse. |

I can relate to this beautiful poem...the wind has many voices...soft whispers to the moans of lovers crying...pain and joy...screams and songs...loved it. Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox |

Sunny, the wind certainly does have its own voice, and is heard differently by us all, I believe. Thank you for your sweet response. Seymour, (Mr. T. of Po e tree) Thank you...glad to know you enjoyed reading this little bit of scribble.  Mark, yet another lovely verse? Are you ever without a poem in your pen? (don't answer that!) I love poetry about the wind, and all the elements of nature. The wind has such poetic value, I believe, because it is something of a mystery to us ... so powerful and yet something we cannot identify except by the way the world "reacts" to it and is changed by it.
