There’s a distance yearning lost between our eyes A chasm of desires yet to cross that tell no lies Reaching out with longing fingers never touching Between us winds a road that leads to nothing Words are spoken then lost within a minute Boundaries define the passions that we limit Barbed wired actions stretched with uncertain meaning Forked road beckons to the way I have not been leaning Unsure of terms I now have signed my life away And hope the rate of exchange is good this day It’s a leap of faith to cover such a longing distance Yet I have found it to be the path of least resistance Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. What GREAT rhyme you have here, not to mention an incredible poem altogether! "Between us winds a road that leads to nothing..." So sadly beautiful. Azure "I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much" - Sandra Cisneros |

Ron, So sad, yet heatspoken & felt. A beautiful poem with defining choice, a sobering decision. Love, Marcy |
