Arctic winds blow
As darkness grows
Chills my bones
With eerie tones
Time stands still
Testing my will
What to do
Here without you

Look at the sky
Where even moons cry
No stars in sight
On this wintry night
Just me by myself
Love on the shelf
To be taken in
When again I win

Snow shall sift
Landing in drifts
Before my door
Visibility is poor
Light covers dark
Freezing the bark
On oak tress
Which once held leaves

Time marches on
Oblivious you're gone
Taunting my heart
Breaking it apart
The pieces fall
Against ancient walls
You know them well
Bordering your cell

I didn't see
They hid me
Who I really am
Against them I slam
Struggling to be
Escaping finally free
From the strain
Which held my pain

Dreams may be renewed
Some of them viewed
For the first day
Things go my way
No more torment
For this moment
My spirit soars
Past unlocked doors

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats

LoneWolf~
This flows so easily that I would think
it just tumbled out of your heart.

How releasing it is ...

'For this moment
My spirit soars
Past unlocked doors'

Now watch that spirit soar even higher.
Love n' hugs

close   Excellent writing!  Take care of

Lone Wolf, I enjoyed this. Amazing, the journey our minds are capable of taking, and you've covered every direction here, I think.
