“ENCHANTING BLUE EYES” by Bill Charles As you lie gracefully, and close by my side, my eyes perceive you, only as I do… I see a delicate angel, somewhere from the stars, with those enchanting eyes, of tantalyzing blue… Reminds me of precious diamonds, sparkling in the sun, I don’t know how I’m so enticed, when near, or apart… For when they stare at me, they go from front to back, like an arrow that went, all the way through my heart… Heaven they were made in, with colors of the sky, always gently compelling, and continuing to sustain… Piercing they are, a different blue when I touch, presenting this most seductive look, which I surely can’t explain… Various shades of blue, the magic of their beauty, captivated am I, for this is what they do… Knowing you is precious, blindness won’t stop me, from my ever seeing, another loving look from you… I stare into and see, all of my sorrow that’s passed, as they talk to me, with their love and devotion… The future I then see, and a smile lights my face, for the deepness of your eyes, is my abdication… When I’m with you and near, I think of no other, there is no one that comes close, to cloud my mind… For your eyes of such loveliness, would I ever wander, over time and space, would eternity be so kind… My soul is hypnotized, and senses are enraptured, by their unique softness, yet they’re so very sublime… They draw me closer to you, into a tight embrace, and they do this to me, all of the time… Tenderness is your beauty, it comes from deep within, my passions you have captured, and I know of no cure… You are the most sensuous woman, I have ever known, with the charm and allure, of your “Enchanting Blue Eyes”… ~~~~ |

Yeah, well, I too had trouble with the "graphics" one...reading it that is and decided to come back later and try it on again; now, after reading it here, I'll read it there again and enjoy it much more. Lovely piece my friend. jwesley |

Bill, I missed the first version, but am glad I caught this one. Lovely writing my friend. As they say, true beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. This was beautiful. ![]() Lone Wolf< !signature--> Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats [This message has been edited by Lone Wolf (edited 11-05-2000).] |

jwesley - sorry about the graphics one, but it happens. Thanks for coming by this one for a read. And thank you for the kind comments. Alle'cram - thank you so much for the most gracious words about this writing. Had a wonderful time writing this, and finally was able to post it. Thanks again. Temptress - and I thank you for stopping by. Ah, another poem about eyes, coming up. Rainydays - it's OK, no problem. And thanks again for coming by. Lone Wolf - I'm glad that you caught it too. Thank you very much for your considerate comments. And yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and mine see at least some of it. At least I hope they do. |
