Hyacinth and peppermint.
What she said and what she meant.
Love and friendship shifted, rent.
So this is what the angels sent.

Broken wings and feathers burned.
What we did and what we learned.
Sex, starlight, security spurned.
I went dead when her back turned.

I hope to find someone new.
To know the greens, reds and blues.
Not just bonds turned back to glue.
I'll love her like I loved you.

And when its time to say goodbye,
I won't lie or die, just cry.
Someday, maybe, those too will go
And we can just say hello.

Mike* You reached in and grabbed my heart...
this was so painfilled...from your heart and
soul you've penned...you've purged the pain
to make room for the sunlight...now let it
in.  Awesome writing~

BSquirrel~
The rawness of your emotions makes for
a heart-rendering read.
This is good.

Ron,
Well, the back of your hand is better than her turned back.   I appreciate it.

Butterfly Slippers,
Yo, girl! Thanks for readin', and glad to know my words touched you.

B_d_c,
Thanks for the advice.

Marge,
Thanks for making me smile.

the clip and patter of the words keeps the "and" alive in hope...

Rainyday and Sunshine (I love the irony of those two names together),
