I pen my will before I go

She's opened up the dragons door
For reasons that I do not know.
And now I must confront the awe
Of all the demons that I owe.

My horse is old as I, I'm sure
It's been a while since we have rode.
My lance has rust on it's allure
And I must leave my poor abode.

I'm grateful for the little peace
The little lease the show of sun
I almost had the golden fleece
I thought the final battle won.

But I was wrong to bury why
The virus has flared up again
And I am sick upon this lie
And write again my will with pen.

To all that witness of my store.
I will you love forever more.

Seymour~

'To all that witness of my store.
I will you love forever more.'

New horse in prance
with well-oiled lance
He rode the charge of quill
All that read him bow in knowing
He is the king of poet's hill

You are wonderful !
Forever loved ~

winds of change ... passage of time
a poet lives on forever ... the gift of his rhyme
a reflection of things that must come to pass
for each of us ... the sands fall thru the hour glass

to look back with no regret ...
and know there are better days to come yet
peace in knowing ... weve tried our best
take the lessons learned ... leave the rest

moments in between moments ... etched in time
poetic memories ... engraved in your heart and mine
a life captured in black and white photographs ...
our words carved in destiny ... our poetic epitaphs.

to all who witness your wisdom divine
we could hope for nothing greater to be left behind ...
this of you ... your poetry does define.

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

In this world we stand,
but not forever
On these beds we lay and dream
not forever
With these words we pen, we live
forever

Tossing words like wishful coins into the deep well of an open heart. R. fox

your horse, forever white...
your lance, forever shine...
your words, always to be read...
when you write for these eyes of mine...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, then speak loudly and be bound.

Wow, Sy

This is so powerful... yet so sad in it's own right.  One with such words will never be lost - and never forgotten by those he's touched.  Know that.  Peace to you, my friend.

Janet Marie. you have said it all so beautifully, except that since I'll probably go first, I will all the love right back to you.
These are some beautiful lines of poetry
The last couplet is superb
You are the greatest

Sy,
you can't be serious about writing your will. I will it not to happen.
Beautiful write, I was a willing participant in the plot .
Be well

Kethry,
A willing participant in the plot?
Could you please explain that? Sy

To pen one's will before depart is best
if one should wait, to pen becomes a test.

...and then ya'd just be a ghostwriter!

Still learning and loving your work, Mr. T.
