~Lovers In Moonlight You + Me~ Where lovers tred, in moonlight a stary nights delight birds all snug in their little nest peek at the stars and hug with their wings Walk a path to the hill by the tree peeps we hear from the lovers nest sing in whipers to you and me We snuggle by the spot we carved on the tree our secret place, you + me... ~BloomingRose~ |

Blooming Rose, This was so beautiful!! Brings back some memories for sure. Wonderful writing!! This just has such an innocence about it. Love it. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

There used to be a tree at Edwards A.F. Base in southern CA with just that. It was carved in 1973 and just got taken down by the base 2 years ago. That is fitting though as it no longer belongs there.LOL This was a lovely piece of sentiment you shared as always you bring to the reader your heart in the smallest most tender ways. |

Mark, Was this a tree you perhaps carved on, once upon a time? To bad it's been cut down, but memories like that, make the heart aware of the sweet things in life. Deb |

I think I need to clarify. For Mark. The tree I mentioned in my reply, is the tree he wrote of at EAFB. Deb Waverly, did not mean to skip you. Thanks. I am glad you enjoyed this one. Deb |

Yes it "WAS" a tree I had carved on and it is fitting that it was cut down. |

Deb, I think that we all have a place like this. . . and even if we can't get to it when we'd like, it's always in our hearts. . . Just wonderful. . . ------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
