My love for her
Started out a vivid purple
The color of passion
When we held hands
Which then was in fashion
It was the color red
Because just her touch
Made my blood boil
When she knew that of me
The day had taken too much
The color of my love
Would be the shade of blue
The color of love so deep and true
On the cold winter’s day
It would be the color yellow
Just as warm as the sun at midday
You might go as far as to say
That the color of my love
Is every color of the rainbow
For when I found my love
She is the gold at the end of the rainbow

Beautiful love poem Alan...I like the use of the rainbow and the colors they put the emotions of the poem across well...the amount of wonderful love poems that keep coming and coming never ceases to amaze me. Almost like all the complicated math that come from ten basic numbers... good work!!...ethome

I too really enjoyed the use of colors in this one and the symbolism of the rainbow is perfect!!! So very lovely
